RULES - PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ITEMS DOWN AT THE RIVER. If items are left down at the river overnight (to keep your spot marked or for any reason), they will be removed by staff and brought up to the office. We want everyone to get a chance to enjoy the riverfront fairly. -No GENERATORS, (unless in an emergency). - Check-in time is 3:00 PM. Check-out is at 11 AM. A 50% fee (of your nightly rate) will cover the cost of an early check-in. Early arrivals will be dependent on availability and can be any time on the day of your arrival if the site is clean and ready. - Limit of 8 person maximum per site (all ages included in headcount). The initial cost per night covers 2 adults and children 13 and under. Any guest aged 14 and up after the first 2 adults will incur an additional $6 per night fee (paid at check-in). - Tent spaces may have a maximum of 3 tents. RV/Trailer sites MUST have 1 trailer. Partial hookup sites (water and electric only) may have 1 tent in addition to the RV/Trailer. Full hook-up sites can NOT have a tent on them. - All vehicles must first register in the office. Please park to the left of the gate and DO NOT BLOCK THE GATE. Please make sure you bring in your license plate number, as you will need this when filling out your registration card. - The speed limit is 5 MPH throughout the park at all times. If speed limits are not followed, you will be politely asked to park outside of the campground and will have to walk in for the rest of the stay. We always have children, pets, and people walking throughout the park. - Please conclude all noise at 10:00 PM. No tent staking or filling of air mattresses after 9:30 PM. - Children should not be left unattended in restrooms or anywhere in the park. - Pets are welcome with no charge, but we ask that you keep them on a leash and pick them up after them. There are doggy bag locations throughout the park, and we ask that only service dogs go into the restrooms. - Toilets stay open 24 hours a day and showers shut down at 8:00 PM and reopen at 7:00 AM. When using our facilities, please do not flush anything other than the toilet paper provided (no feminine hygiene products, paper towels, wipes, foreign objects, etc.) down the toilet. - Campfires are permitted unless specified by the office. NO BONFIRES. Keep fires in the fire rings that are set up at each site. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FIRE UNATTENDED. - All drains not connected to a sewer must be capped or in an appropriately sealed container and then disposed of at the dump station. - Dump stations are available for our guests at no charge (see map for location). - The following items are not allowed to be used in the park: FIREWORKS, FIREARMS OF ANY KIND, AIR RIFLES, PELLET GUNS, SLINGSHOTS, CROSSBOWS, BOW AND ARROWS, WATER BALLOONS, POOLS, SPAS. - Defacing park property or any trees on the park grounds is strictly prohibited. RATES September 1st- June 1st - 2 NIGHT MINIMUM, ANYTIME DURING THESE MONTHS (3 night minimum for all major holidays (From Sept. through to June) June 1st -September 1st - 4 NIGHT MINIMUM (exceptions include walk-ins and reservations made inside of 10 days before check-in) Daily Rates for Camping - MAXIMUM of 8 PERSONS PER SITE (no exceptions). The price per night covers 2 adults and children 13 years and under. Any guests aged 14 and up beyond the first 2 adults will incur an additional $6 per night fee; paid at check-in. Dry Tent Camping: $45.00 per night - (101-111 river and creek, 115-119 creek, 400-409 creek, 411-417 standard tent sites, 440 riverfronts, 177-186 standard with seasonal creek flow at times, 187-199A standard tent sites with views of river and creek) ​ Tent Sites With Water and Electric: $60.00 per night - ​​NO AC UNITS ARE PERMITTED AT THESE SITES. Electric is only 220 for charging or blowing up rafts, etc. (Sites: 41,50,51 and 59) Partial Hookups (RV/Trailers 30 amp Creekside): $60 per night - 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, and 58 creek sites are for 30 amps ONLY, no converters, no trailers bigger than 36 feet, and must only have 1 AC unit. Partial Hookups (RV/Trailers 50 amp and riverside): $65.00 per night - Sites have water and electric connections. Must have 1 RV/Trailer on site. Can have up to 1 tent on-site in addition to RV/Trailer. (Site numbers: 418-423 standard with 50 amp, 424-437, 439-440 riverfront with 50 amp **Site 438 riverfront is 30 amp only** Full Hookups: $75.00 per night - Sites have water, electric, and septic connections. Must have 1 RV/Trailer on site. No tents allowed. (Site numbers: 200-215 front row near the office, 441-455 back row on the island) - BOOK 7 NIGHTS FOR THE PRICE OF 6! When you book 6 nights, the 7th night is free of charge! (Free night only applies to reservations for 7 consecutive nights - no site-hopping or date splits) Additional Daily Charges (applicable to all sites) - 8 people per site MAX (counting all ages, even babies). Costs per night cover 2 adults and children 13 years old and under. Any guests aged 14 and up, beyond the first 2 adults, pay an additional $6 per night fee at check-in. - We don’t charge for additional vehicles (though there is a limit of 2 per site). We have overflow parking available. - Bringing your dog (or other animal companion) is always free. Please make sure they’re kept on a leash and that you take the time to pick them up after your pet. - Dirty site and unattended campfire fee. All sites left with trash or an unattended campfire will incur a $50.00 clean-up fee. Group Reservations - We’re now happy to be offering group rates. While all our normal reservation policies still apply if you call to reserve 10 sites or more you’ll receive a 15% discount on your group booking. - Note: Additional person fee of 6 extra people per site is automatically added to all group reservations. There will be a nonrefundable deposit due upon making Group Reservations. Residential Sites & Rates - In addition to our camping sites, we also offer partial and full hook-up residential spaces for those guests interested in making the Kern River Valley their full or part-time home. With half of our park dedicated to space for residents, we have 123 spaces suited to your vacation home or full-time living needs. Availability is somewhat limited. Rates vary. While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
