The Georgia Mountains Region or North Georgia mountains or Northeast Georgia is an area that starts in the northeast corner of Georgia, United States, and spreads in a westerly direction. The mountains in this region are in the Blue Ridge mountain chain that ends in Georgia. At over 1 billion years of age, the Blue Ridge mountains are among the oldest mountains in the United States and are sometimes mistaken to be the oldest mountains in the world. The mountains in this region are also a part of the vast system of North American mountains known as the Appalachian Mountains that spans most of the United States longitudinally along the eastern areas of the nation and terminates in Alabama.

Rules

Check-In Procedure - Check-In: 1:00 pm. - Check-Out: 11:00 am. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Quiet Hours - Please be considerate of other campers by observing quiet hours (10:00 pm to 9:00 am). - Our campground is known for the peace and quiet we provide and we do enforce this. Children Policy - Parents are expected to keep track of their children at all times and enjoy this great camping experience with them. - No children to be unattended after 10 p.m., please. - All children under the age of 16 must wear a helmet while bike riding on the premises. No Clotheslines Policy - Please no clotheslines – we have dryers. - Attaching objects to trees or plant life is prohibited. Propane or Charcoal Grill Policy - Grills are not furnished but you are welcome to bring a propane or charcoal grill. - Please do not put grills on campground picnic tables. - We do have 2 propane grills for your use free of charge on the Rocking Porch. Please clean after use. Garbage Policy - Please bag and tie your garbage and place it in the containers provided. - Only household-generated garbage should be placed in the containers. - If it’s going in the dumpster it must be in a bag- no loose trash, please. - We encourage recycling. - Towns County only recycles clean cardboard, cans, and plastic bottles, no glass. - Recycle bins encourage bear visitations, so talk with management about where to deposit your recyclables. Thx. for recycling. No Trespassing - Trespassing on sites or adjoining property is prohibited. Fires Policy - Open fires are permitted in the fire ring only.- - Please do not move your fire ring – this causes burning and scarring on the campsite. - All fires should be kept small so that the heat does not damage the above and surrounding foliage. - Fires are the responsibility of the campers and should be completely extinguished prior to the user leaving the campsite. - Absolutely no burning of garbage. - Any local, state or federal government regulations shall supersede campground regulations. - If there is a wind advisory, please refrain from building a fire. Smoke-Free - For your health and safety, all buildings are smoke-free (including the music barn pavilion). - Please do not throw cigarette butts on the ground or in fire rings. Political Flags Policy - Political flags and/or signs, other than the US flag, are not to be displayed or seen from outside. Campground Policy - If you need assistance, please text (706) 970-2112 rather than going to the management residence. - There is a two-night minimum stay over the weekend. Speed Limit - All vehicles must follow the speed limit for Mountain View Campground (5 mph) and travel in a clockwise direction unless being parked by management. Vehicle Rules - One car per site permitted. - Do not park on empty sites. - Cars and RVs may not be washed or repaired in the campground. - All sites are provided with 50 amps so no generators are to be running unless there is a power outage. - Management attempts to provide properly wired RV outlets, however, it is encouraged to use a surge protector as MVC is not responsible for damage to property or person. Guests Policy - There will be a $5.00 per night per guest charge. - Guests must check in at the office and obtain a guest pass. - Parking on other sites is prohibited. - You are responsible for your guests knowing and abiding by all rules and regulations. - Guests not abiding by the rules will be asked to leave immediately. Pet Policy - Maximum 2 dogs per site, please. - We are animal lovers, very fond of pets, and appreciate the fact that people recognize their pets to be an integral part of their families. - To prevent injury to your pets please keep them on a 6′ leash at all times.-this includes outdoor kitties. - You must clean up after your pet. Place droppings in a plastic bag and put them in a pet station receptacle. - Do not tie pets to trees or leave them unattended. - Pets are not permitted in the office, restrooms, or the music barn. - Keep pets inside and quiet at night. - Absolutely no aggressive behavior will be tolerated. If your pet is creating a problem, the management will require that the owner take appropriate action. - Excessive continued barking is not permitted. Alcohol Beverages Policy - Alcoholic beverages are to be consumed by adults 21 years of age only. - No alcohol around the office, restrooms, or laundry rooms. - No drunkenness or profanity will be tolerated. - Those offending will be evicted from the campground. - Anyone using illicit substances will be asked to leave the campground immediately. Security Policy - The entrance to Mountain View Campground is monitored by video and audio surveillance. - Management resides on the property and strictly monitors and enforces campground rules and regulations. - Local law enforcement also routinely drives through the campground. - Please notify management of any security concerns. Liability - The facilities of Mountain View Campground are available for renters and their guests. - All persons using these facilities do so at their own risk. - The management or owners will not be responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of property by fire, theft, wind, or any unforeseen acts beyond their control.

Cancellation Policy

MODERATE If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
