Michigan City Campground
Michigan City Campground, conveniently located 1.5 miles south of I-94 and 2.5 miles north of I-80/90, is a privately owned family campground. It is nestled on 40 acres just 5 miles from Lake Michigan, 10 miles from Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, and only 50 miles east of Chicago. For those who wish to visit the city, the South Shore commuter train will transport visitors from Michigan City to Chicago without the hassle of city traffic and expensive parking fees.
Our camping season is from April 1st to October 31st. We also have many monthly sites available with winter water, as well as seasonal and overnight spots. Michigan City Campground is a great place for fun and family gatherings.
Michigan City Campground offers a variety of semi-shaded and sunny sites; as well as back-in and pull-thru sites. They a great for pop-up trailers, hybrid trailers, travel trailers, fifth wheels and motor homes of any size.

- Must be 21 years old to rent a site.
- Parents are responsible for their children.
- All children 14 or younger must be accompanied in the pool area by an adult (18 years or older).
- Park only at your site. Posted speed limit is FIVE (5) M.P.H.
- Guests should park in the parking lot by the main building.
- All GUESTS must register in the office. There is a guest fee of $5.00 per person. Does not include use of the pool.
- All sites are to be kept clean and free of debris.
- Pets must be on a leash of 6′ or less. Never leave your pet unattended outside your rig.
- Pets are not allowed in the cabins.
- Please clean up all pet waste
- Be considerate of your fellow campers’ peace and quiet.
- Public intoxication, disorderly conduct, profanity, and loud parties are not tolerated.
- Quiet hours are STRICTLY enforced
- Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Weekends and holidays: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Firearms, bows and arrows, Fireworks, and air rifles are not permitted.
- Please do not move picnic tables from one site to another.
- Check with the office before moving fire rings.
- Do not wash your vehicles or rigs in the campground.
- Please check with management before putting up screen rooms.
- ANYONE choosing not to follow these rules will be asked to LEAVE.
Cancellation Policy
MODERATE
If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
