Carrollwood RV Park is a privately-owned campground. We are not a primary residence facility. Entrance onto campground property constitutes permission to Carrollwood to photograph the visitor while on the premises, and to use any resulting pictures for any lawful purpose without payment to the visitor. With ambition in their hearts and a dream in their heads, Owners made the bold decision to move their young family from the booming town of Hickory N.C. down to the family farm & start what would soon become CarrollWoods RV Park. Staying true to their values, the Carrolls sought to open a business run by the family and serve other families. A campground was the perfect match. Located in the small community of Guideway NC, the Suggs family farm dates back seven generations! The property that is now CarrollWoods, was mainly used for growing tobacco and cotton in the days of the grandfather, great-grandfather, and so on. “We try to keep a piece of that history in the business as much as possible,” says Christine. In the spring of 2005, the vineyard started planting grapes on the land. Their endeavor was a wine vineyard. In early 2006, Grapefull Sisters Vineyard along with Inn‘d vine B&B opened to the public and has been serving a variety of great wines for guests ever since! In 2007, Soon after the vineyard opened, the family moved back to the family farm and began construction on the campground. Despite the ongoing recession, CarrollWoods RV Park successfully opened in April 2009, yay! Over the years, the campground has added many amenities such as a swimming pool, hiking trails, sand volleyball, camp store, dog run, wi-fi, cable TV, and just recently, The Cellar (special events building). As well as adding amenities, many friends have been added throughout the years. These repeat guests, word-of-mouth referrals, and camping clubs have enabled us to grow the campground with the recent addition of 25 new campsites and two cottages! We think the best memories are made with family, and what better place to do that than by a good campfire enjoying nature! We still have many chapters left to write, so we hope you will take part in our story, be it on the porch with a glass of wine or around the campfire sharing smores. We look forward to seeing you! Cheers! Sincerely, the Carrolls
