Along the River Campground
- Our campground started out in the 1960s as Clark’s Cabins. Then in the late ’60s and early ’70s, Tarry Ho Campground was developed. What is now the campground owner’s house (and office with the store) was moved here from down the street, when the river was re-routed to make way for the current intersection of Routes 3 & 302. The park’s name changed from Tarry Ho to Along the River at the start of the 2018 season. Winter camping and cabin rentals return for the 2020-21 winter season. Here you can ride your snowmobile from your winter campsite or cabin directly to the NH trail system. We are minutes from downhill skiing, cross country skiing, and winter hiking.
- The campground is mostly grassy, but not loaded with pine needles. Some sites have trees, but we are not heavily wooded. We are a small campground, flat, and easy to get around, with both sunny and shady sites. Riverfront sites sit up from the river (so no flooding) and come with electricity, water, Wi-Fi, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Primitive tent sites share a community water spigot and come with picnic tables, fire rings, and Wi-Fi. For RV campers, we offer full hookups and Wi-Fi (water, sewer & 30- or 50- amp electric), and satellite dish access (not all sites, so please inquire when booking).
